Autumnal…

As the Summer draws in and Autumn is on the horizon, I’m sure a lot of us are thinking, where did all the time go? The days are steadily becoming shorter and in the words of Shakespeare: “Summer’s lease hath all too short a date.”

It’s that time of year where it’s too warm to wear your fleece jacket but too cool to go out in beach sandals. Unless you want to combine the two items of clothing and you would not look out of place in the post-modern hipster enclave that is Shoreditch.

In the days of yesteryear, this would be the time of year that people would round up their harvest for the season and start pickling foods to store in the larder in time for the harsher Winter months. I suppose a modern equivalent would be to order a Pumpkin Spice Latte in a Starbucks which we all know to be the official marker sign that Autumn is here…
